...it is not by the sword or the spear that the Lord saves...1Sam 17:47

Food Theory

Okay, I am going to work off of the following assumptions:

1. The issue isn't food. The issue is a strong relationship with God.
2. When one has a strong relationship with God, one naturally makes better life choices.
3. In order to become healthier, I need to become more integrated with my body.
4. In order to become more integrated, I must become more aware.
5. Bodies are made to move.

Practical application:
1. Eat when hungry. (My body knows what it needs)
2. Stop when not hungry. (Be aware of the process of eating.)
2A. Don't eat when not hungry (Don't settle for food when I really need something else -sleep, exercise, a walk, a talk with a friend, prayer)
3. Don't do anything except eat while eating -no driving, no watching TV, no reading. (All part of becoming integrated and aware)
4. Take vitamins.
5. Move purposefully every single day. (It doesn't have to be an hour to count. Any movement counts that is outside walking to and from the car.)

  1. I love this!!! Thank you in particular for reminding me what I already posess but don't always use as consistently as I should. Reminders to follow God and my heart, have a funny way of appearing at the least expected times. Here's an example: I was, moments ago, researching my dog's newly adopted peculiar behavior; digging and sniffing the basement dirt floor and whining in a variety of strange tones (like a baby chubakka) while doing so. I read one page about dog separation anxiety, then went back and scrolled through the various results provided by Google. One in particular caught my eye, Scary Story: The Doll. The highlighted key words in the description peaked my intrest, but I realized this was a short story instead of a dog behavioral web page link. I read your story and loved it. I visited your site in search of more fun stories but found Food Theory, in turn finding a reminder to stay healthy with God and myself. Hopefully this will transcend to my dog, Maggie. (haha) Long winded, my apologies, but I had to explain to you why I was saying thank you. And for you to know I loved your story! By the way my name is Sarah.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the short story. Thank you for taking the time to be so sweet!
